About

              Thank you for your interest in Something Blue Signature Events! My name is Rachael Allen. I am the owner and head event coordinator. I started my business because of my passion for events. I have my degree in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management from The University of South Carolina and a Certificate of Interior Design from Midlands Technical College. After three years experience in planning events for The University of South Carolina I moved to Orlando Florida to work for The Walt Disney Company. There, I worked in hospitality and learned the art of making people’s dreams come true! Four years later I returned to South Carolina to work for Marriott International and started my own event planning company.

            I find that the most rewarding thing about my business is having the opportunity to meet so many fantastic people and create events that are unique to them and their style. Great attention to detail is key for any event that I plan. I always take the extra time and effort to make the day truly yours. I always feel very privileged when I am asked to be a part of someone's special day. My goal is to make the special moments that you choose to spend in the company of your family and friends to become lasting memories that are cherished and shared for years to come.
